It was still dark when I woke this morning. I stepped out into the hall, same as every morning.
Only this morning, the shutter on the window in the hall slowly swung open. Now, this I could attribute to my footsteps shaking the floor (even though I try to walk very softly so I don't wake anyone else). What got my attention was that the curtain next to the window was hazy. Almost like I was looking through just a little bit of thin smoke.
A chill ran down my spine, and every hair on my body stood on end. Should I be used to this by now?
I think this is all so interesting! You are lucky because you get to experience something most people only hear about, and it isn't scary or harmful like some stories you hear. So you never mentioned (or if you did, I missed it) is this an old house you are in? One with a histery that you know?

Sorry, but all of this freaks me out. Are you not the least bit scared. I think I have watched the Amityville Horror one too many times.
