Her outstretched hands grasped for my legs, but, harried, I danced out of the way.
She hit the floor with a thud.
And I thought, when is the right time for them to learn self reliance, and to pick themselves up off the cold hard ground?
She lay there prostrate for about 5 minutes before I scooped her gently into my arms.
And I realized, not today.
Aww! She's come so far, and is so mature. It's hard to remember she's only been on this earth for a bit over three years! Tell "honey" her teachers love her.

It is so hard to not scoop them up! Even when the get older, and don't necessarily want it...they should stay small enough to fit in our arms. I'm dreading the day that I can't pick up my little guy!
