At first I thought I was imagining things as he scurried across my kitchen floor. He was t.i.n.y.
I thought for sure I was going to squash him as I was trying to save him. Really. I had our big overstuffed chair balancing on 1 leg as I was trying to lure him out into the open. I just KNEW it was going to land on him. (ick)
I was hard not to keep him. Just for a little while. But I knew he'd be happier out by our fountain, frolicking in the fern fronds. Hope to see you again soon little buddy...outside.
A friend sent me a link to this blog today. (tip: look at the video LAST...or not at all) I LOVED the idea. Truly, it struck a deep chord with me, and even made my eyes a little misty. The recipients reaction to the letters, well, that's a whole other chapter of sociology.
Anyway. Here's the challenge. Sit down, write, and mail 2 letters today. Not even letters. Notes. Postcards even. Less than 10 sentences. No, make that less than 5 sentences. For no other purpose than the attempt to make someone else smile. If it happens to be to someone you haven't spoken to in 6 months or more, then that's even better.
